Colorwheel Painting Partners with Remodel Firms Across Greater Southeast Wisconsin Area

Colorwheel Painting isn’t the type of Milwaukee painting company you send a plan to for a low bid. Our specialized team maintains valuable partnerships with remodeling firms in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Brookfield, Mequon, and New Berlin. On most projects, we’re a brand ambassador for you, watching your back, doing walkthroughs, reviewing work and putting serious quotes together, reviewing plans and blueprints, and asking all the most prudent questions. In fact, we care so much, we became the first painting company to have its owner sit on the NARI Milwaukee board!

The Many Ways Remodelers Partner With Us

It’s nice to have Colorwheel Painting acting, planning, and executing with YOU and your client’s best interests in mind. We’ll identify the scope down to the finest detail, along with the process or sequence of your project, to ensure everything’s in line with your production needs and how you see it going down…without a hitch.

Wondering if you can have your suppliers send products directly to our Brookfield workshop? You sure can. We have an INTERIOR loading dock, so trucks and our in-house manpower can load and unload out of the weather. And, because there are nothing but specialists at Colorwheel Painting, you can count on the quality and consistency of our spotless work. You can stop by and visit our workshop anytime, call us at 262-999-0507, or use our website’s easy Contact Us form.

Overall Remodeling Project Coordination

We can help coordinate complex remodeling projects that involve painting (interior & exterior), refinishing, refacing, staining and finishing, refinishing, handling things like large quantities of raw trim or bringing staircases back to life, wallpaper installation or removal…and more.

Communication Throughout Our Process

Not only do we have dedicated scheduling, but we’re in tune with remodelers and know how much communication is needed to make everyone aware, informed, and happy. You’ll enjoy our overall process. We can be a great part of your team!

We Play Nice With Other Contractors

Our entire staff collaborates with and around contractors of many kinds, and we know how to play nice. Colorwheel prides itself on our talents, professionalism, and being a great company to bring aboard.

Southeast Wisconsin‘s Remodeler FAQs

Yes. Valued partners get a keycode to our back door, which allows them to deliver things 24/7. We’re otherwise staffed Monday through Friday from approximately 6 am to 3 pm. Other staff come and go outside those hours so that we can accommodate scheduled times.

No, we don’t. Our interior painting and workshop services are 99% subcontractor-free. Our exterior painting is the primary place we’ll use a subcontractor for a specific reason: we believe exterior painters belong outside. Interior painters belong inside. And we refuse to lay off a bunch of exterior painters in the fall every year.

So, instead, we have two exterior painting firms we work with almost exclusively to meet the needs of our clients. Our markup is minimal to pay them well, cover our quoting process, and keep the workshop lights on.

We hover around 25 people in total. We’re reluctant to grow much more unless all the suitable systems are in place. We don’t have any ambition of being the biggest painting company in Milwaukee unless that’s a side effect of being the best!

Colorwheel Painting began in 2004. So, our actual 20th anniversary is just around the corner! Depending on when you read this, it may have passed. Either way, we’re not the new kids on the block. Does that mean you’ve heard of us? Maybe not. Milwaukee metro is a big area, and we only do so much advertising. Most of our business comes through direct referrals and repeat customers.

Capitalism doesn’t stop when you choose a painting company. Yes, on the face of it, we’ll be in a higher price bracket. Is that expensive or a calculated investment? When you choose Colorwheel, you’re investing in estimators that watch your back and find the REAL price at the beginning, so changing orders won’t be a problem later.

It transitions to scheduling, where only ONE MAN controls all Colorwheel Painting production levers. His sole job is the scheduling of your projects, which, let’s face it, often change. When the work begins, it’s done by truly experienced painters. And it’s finished up right with no loose ends.

The fact that painters are a dime a dozen should scare you. It results from a near-zero barrier to entry to “be a painter.” Painting is a highly unregulated, unlicensed, untrained portion of the remodeling industry. We set ourselves apart.

For example, we use dedicated project managers. We also have one specialist who does scheduling. Then there’s our team of in-house employee painters (we have low turnover). Adherence to strict quality is a given with Colorwheel. We also have a commitment to the industry with our proven and demonstrated NARI involvement.

Our 10,000sf workshop is at 12780 W Lisbon Road, Brookfield, WI 53005.

Look for our sign. We own the whole building but operate out of the east end.

Usually, yes, we deliver to job sites. However, it’ll depend on the item. We don’t own a box truck, so we can’t handle larger cabinet systems. Longer board lengths can also present a similar problem. Anything we can fit into our cargo van, or even the company suburban, is something we’ll readily move. That includes 12’ lumber or less, small cabinet boxes, miscellaneous furniture, components, and more.
