Full Special Projects Service

If you’re like most of our first-time customers, you’re probably wondering how we charge for special projects like these. Typically, it’s based on a time and materials basis rather than a set price. This allows us to properly address each unique situation and set of variables, often involving custom, handcrafted work. Can we give you a ballpark idea beforehand? Sure. We’re flexible and understand that alterations and revisions aren’t uncommon.

Below, we get into some common special projects, but what you have in mind might be completely different. That’s great! The best thing to do is to reach out and connect with us. You can stop by and visit our workshop anytime, call us at 262-999-0507, or use our website’s easy Contact Us form. We can’t wait to hear all about your pieces!

Well Help You Get It Done Anyway

Colorwheel Painting Can Likely Handle Your Special Project

Truth be told, Colorwheel Painting is capable of helping a lot of different kinds of people across Southeast Wisconsin in a lot of ways. And, if somehow your project is outside our wheelhouse, we’ve been in the area for decades and have an extensive network to draw on. That said, here are some of the more common special projects we see each year.

Furniture Painting & Refinishing

A lot of our special projects revolve around characteristic and heirloom furniture painting and refinishing work. Got a classic poker table you want us to restore? How about a beautiful entry table, games chest, tool chest, high-gloss doors, curio cabinet, or even an old wicker pool cart? Colorwheel Painting can help. When these pieces are in our hands, they’re in the hands of specialized artists.

Painted Signage

Opening a new office and needing a gorgeous sign with lettering? Whatever the case is, if you want your painted signage to look professionally done, get in contact with us. Colorwheel loves to be part of local arts, events, new businesses, and so forth. Unsure if it’s something we’d take on? Again, your best bet is to connect with us. We’re happy to fill you in.

Custom Painting Work

Our custom paint projects bring a unique and personal touch to your spaces, enhancing them with charm, artistic flair, and more. Our in-house artists love this stuff!. Their excitement for these custom paint projects carries into their work, producing quality, well-thought-out masterpieces. We’re happy to sit down with you to better understand your vision and provide a crystal-clear project estimate.

Unmatched attention to detail

Southeast Wisconsin‘s Professional Painting FAQs

If you’re in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Brookfield, Mequon, or New Berlin, yes, you’re more than welcome here! It’s a really nice place, actually. Come and talk shop with us. Come hang out and have a drink, or some gourmet coffee, or play a game of pool.

We certainly can, provided the project will fit in our suburban or cargo van.

Yes, we do. Some are hand-painted with custom designs.

Yes, we do. But not in gloss or semi-gloss finishes.

Not much. We can try, but if it’s a structural thing, a different specialist may be needed. We’ll happily take a look and let you know! Basic gluing and some small nails or screws can probably be handled.

The coatings we use are already durable. However, a clear coat can be added. Understanding how the piece will be used in your home can help us all make the best decision.

This, of course, depends on the scope. We’ve had projects done in just a few days, while others have taken months of work. The more detail and steps needed, the longer it’ll take.

At first, people most often send us photos and describe what they’d like to achieve. Then, we typically ask a few questions to get clarification on the task. After that, we’ll consult with our artists and come up with an estimated investment to get it done right.
We don’t have any dipping capabilities. We also can’t sand lead (but we can use infrared and citrus stripping chemicals). High gloss clear coating is difficult unless some very hard-to-detect faults are within tolerance. Certain types of coatings can’t be used.
